Georg took over the management of the Agro Innovation Lab from Claudia Mittermayr in mid-April. A big thank you to Claudia, who has helped shape the Agro Innovation Lab for many years.
Georg worked for several years at the Ecosocial Forum where, as a consultant for agricultural and environmental policy, he was responsible for implementing a range of projects in the field of agricultural and regional development. Since 2018, he has been Sales Manager and a member of the Management Board of TKL – Lebensmittel Logistik GmbH, where he also headed the International Transport Department. He studied Environmental and Bioresources Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna.
With his entrepreneurial spirit and eco-social perspective, his aim is to expand cooperation with startups while also working on trends and research with existing companies. His key focuses will include IoT, robotics and strategies for adapting to climate change. In addition to managing the AIL, Georg has also taken over as Head of the RWA Farming Innovations division, where he is responsible for services such as soil testing, drone-based corn borer control and the development of further innovative services.
Fortunately, Claudia is staying with the RWA and has found a new challenge running the Agricultural Inputs division. She is now responsible for the areas of winemaking/fruit growing, plant protection and fertilisers. We wish her all the best!
“I’m looking forward to getting to know all my new colleagues in the RWA Group and the AIL’s partners in the coming months and to working together as we implement joint projects. Our doors are always open.”
