As part of a virtual field trip, the Agro Innovation Lab welcomed 130 Belgian students from the fields of agriculture, agricultural engineering and biotechnology.
In times like these, innovation and ingenuity are also needed in education but, instead of classic home schooling, 130 Belgian students set out on a virtual field trip. In order to take an active, international look at their fields of study in agriculture and biotechnology, the students were also “guests” of the Agro Innovation Lab on 11th March.
In addition to an insight into the world of founders and startups, the students were particularly interested in the topics of robotics and drones. As practical farmers, many of those present wanted to know more about the latest technology and its areas of application. Questions of sustainability and the path that a product takes between idea and implementation were also addressed. Many thanks are due to the organising team at Thomas More College.
