The Green Lagerhaus Challenge is in full swing. AIL is organising the event for the first time this year, together with Lagerhaus Franchise (formerly AFS). The Challenge is on the lookout for innovative and sustainable products in the areas of home & garden, energy and building materials that will enhance the future product range of the Lagerhäuser. By being listed as a “Grün Gedacht” product in the Lagerhäuser, the winners will accelerate their market entry.
After the call for entries in February, more than 100 exciting products were entered for the Green Lagerhaus Challenge. Particularly noteworthy is the diversity across all search fields, from gardening and irrigation to smart living, lighting, energy, pet care and barbecuing. Following the close examination of the applications by category managers from Lagerhaus Franchise and the AIL, 20 applicants are now in the product testing process. Their submissions will be put through their paces during the next few weeks. Particular attention is being paid to innovation and sustainability as well as to the quality of the presentation to end customers.
The products that successfully pass this test will then be given an opportunity to convince the jury in a live video presentation. This jury will be a colourful mix of representatives of the RWA and the Lagerhäuser as well as the Agro Innovation Lab. The winners of the Green Lagerhaus Challenge can then look forward to their Lagerhaus listing. Amongst other things, Lagerhaus customers will be able to find products from the Green Lagerhaus Challenge carrying the “Grün-Gedacht” label in stores throughout Austria. We’re looking forward to meeting the winners and wish everyone the best of luck!
